DENICK JOINS NATURE STORE
Laura Denick recently joined the staff of the Refuge Nature Store as a part-time assistant.
She will work Thursday and Saturday shifts, floating between the two stores, located at the refuge and at 2250 Periwinkle Way, Sanibel.
Originally from Grimsby, Ontario, in Canada, Denick has a Bachelor of Science in environmental science and geography and has worked in numerous positions over the years, including wetland research, fish habitat protection, teaching, Junior Achievement and retail.
She also is serving as a turtle patrol volunteer for the Sanibel-Captiva Conservation Foundation for her third year.
DIIORIO APPOINTED TO USF COMMITTEE
Sanibel Captiva Community Bank Vice President and Downtown Branch Office Manager Kristin DiIorio was recently appointed to the University of South Florida Muma College of Business Customer Experience Certificate Program steering committee.
The committee provides oversight for the interactive, eight-week online program that teaches participants how to apply principles that drive customer experience using techniques developed by top companies. The program also teaches how to integrate strategies and methodologies to measure, evaluate and improve the customer experience in participants’ own organization.
DiIorio joined the bank in 2016 to lead the downtown branch. She manages daily operations and customer relationships, including business and consumer banking. With more than 15 years of banking experience, DiIorio has helped the branch grow and cultivate a healthy customer roster within a range of industries.
