County library system provides virtual programming

LEE COUNTY

The Lee County Library System, which includes the Captiva Memorial Library, is offering the following free virtual programming for all ages:

ADULT PROGRAMS

– March 5: Basic ESOL & Digital Literacy at 6 p.m.

Learn English and digital literacy skills in a free virtual learning series. The classes are offered in partnership with Learning Empowered, an organization dedicated to helping community members have stable housing and the education they need for lifelong success. Advance registration required. For help registering, call 727-754-3976.

– March 9: Intermediate ESOL & Digital Literacy at 11 a.m.

CHILDREN’S PROGRAMS

– Today, March 3: Storytime Anytime!

Enjoy storytime at home or on the go with Storytime Anytime! This is a condensed version of the in-person storytimes and includes a variety of songs, stories, rhymes and caregiver tips designed to promote and reinforce early literacy and language development.

The Captiva Memorial Library is open Tuesday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

It continues to offer curbside hold pick up Tuesday through Saturday.
