HISTORICAL VILLAGE WELCOMES FINANCE ADMINISTRATOR

The Sanibel Historical Village recently welcomed Magen Roberts as its new finance administrator.

Roberts has been a business development director and administrative professional with more than 10 years of experience providing support to more than 200 clients. Most recently, she served as tax and accounting liaison for Paradise Tax Consultants in Cape Coral.

In her new position, Roberts will be responsible for all banking, finance and database tasks and will have the added responsibility of the museum’s social media. She will be in the office Wednesdays to Fridays from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and can be reached at magen@sanibelmuseum.org or at 239-472-4648.

BANK NAMED AMONG AWARD FINALISTS

Sanibel Captiva Community Bank is one of 21 Southwest Florida companies to be named a finalist for a 2021 Industry Appreciation Award from the Horizon Council, Horizon Foundation and Lee County Economic Development.

The bank is one of three finalists in the Business Resiliency and Innovation Award category, which recognizes businesses that successfully pivoted operations, products or services to be resilient and respond to the needs of the community during the COVID-19 pandemic. They have proven their resiliency by not only surviving, but thriving during the crisis. They embraced challenges, listened to customers and conducted careful research in order to successfully shift operations for the betterment of the company, employees and community.

The awards celebrate the Lee County business community and recognize outstanding local businesses that have positively influenced Southwest Florida. The honorees and finalists will be recognized during the annual IAA luncheon on May 14 at the Caloosa Sound Convention Center & Amphitheater in Fort Myers.

SAN CAP COMMUNITY BANK HIRES PARALDI

Claudia Paraldi has joined the Sanibel Captiva Community Bank as a loan processing coordinator in its loan operations division at the Downtown Branch in Fort Myers.

She is responsible for processing personal loan files.

Paraldi has nearly 10 years of banking experience with a large national bank, as well as a background in credit analysis.
