F.I.S.H. of Sanibel-Captiva and Lee Health will provide a virtual presentation, “An Overview of the COVID-19 Vaccines and Isolation During the Pandemic,” on Feb. 24 at 10 a.m. via the WebEx platform.

Lee Health Medical Director of Epidemiology/Infection Prevention Dr. Mary B. Saunders will discuss the current state of Lee County’s numbers and status, prevention measures like masks and handwashing, and latest vaccine news. She will also offer best practices for disease prevention, as well as insights on the available vaccine options.

Lee Health Vice President and Medical Director of Behavioral and Mental Health Dr. Paul G. Simeone will discuss the dangers of self-isolation during the COVID pandemic, not only to the senior population but also to the community as a whole.

“This informative discussion will provide the community with the latest information on the COVID-19 vaccine and its effects on individuals and people in the community,” F.I.S.H. Senior Services and Community Engagement Director Susan Alexander said. “Please join us with experts from Lee Health for updates on vaccine news, reducing risk and coping with isolation during these uncertain times.”

“If you are unfamiliar with the virtual WebEx platform, we will guide you through the simple process of setting it up on your media device,” she added.
