Elections Office outlines information for city election
The city of Sanibel’s Regular Election is March 2, the Lee County Elections Office reported.
The deadline to request a vote-by-mail ballot is on Feb. 20 at 5 p.m. For information to request and return a ballot, voters may call the office at 239-533-8683 or visit online at lee.vote.
All vote-by-mail ballots must be returned to the Lee County Supervisor of Elections Office by March 2 — Election Day — at 7 p.m. Voters may check the status of their vote-by-mail ballots on the Website at https://www.lee.vote/Admin/Check-my-Registration-Status.
The Lee County Supervisor of Elections is providing in-person services at the following office locations Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.:
– Bonita Springs Branch Office, at 25987 S. Tamiami Trail, Unit 105, Bonita Springs
– Cape Coral Branch Office, at 1039 S.E. 9th Ave., Cape Coral
– Elections Center, at 13180 S. Cleveland Ave., Fort Myers
– Main Office at the Melvin Morgan Constitutional Complex, at 2480 Thompson St., Third Floor, Fort Myers
It is committed to providing superior election services while maintaining a sanitized and safe environment for those working in and visiting the offices. A mask is required when visiting the offices to ensure the well-being of staff and others.
Citizens also have the option of utilizing its online service tools, offered at lee.vote, which does not require them to appear in-person at an office to conduct business. On the Website, citizens can register to vote, update their voter information, request a vote-by-mail ballot and more.
