F.I.S.H., Alzheimer’s Resource Center to host program

By F.I.S.H. - | Jan 8, 2021

F.I.S.H. of Sanibel-Captiva and the Alvin A. Dubin Alzheimer’s Resource Center will offer a presentation, “Caring for a Person With Memory Impairment,” on Jan. 25 at 10 a.m. via Zoom.

Jennifer Eno, community and caregiver educator for the center, will offer a brief overview of Alzheimer’s and other forms of dementia, as well as tips on how to successfully care for a person with memory impairment. Many times the term Alzheimer’s is used when speaking about any type of memory loss. Eno will discuss all dementia-related diseases, like Alzheimer’s. She will offer facts and information about neurocognitive diseases that affect not only patients, but their family and friends.

Eno served in the Peace Corps as a health worker after obtaining her degree in health services administration from the University of Central Florida. Since returning from her post in the Central Pacific, she has spent the last 10 years working in senior care in Southwest Florida. Inspired by her grandmother who had Alzheimer’s, Eno has a passion for helping those with memory impairments.

She joined the Alvin A. Dubin Alzheimer’s Resource Center in July.

Reservations are required by Jan. 21 by contacting Susan Alexander or Anthony Morales at 239-472-4775. Once registered, F.I.S.H. will provide an emailed link and meeting ID number for access.
