Rotary Club taking registrations for charity golf tourney

By ROTARY CLUB - | Dec 18, 2020

The Sanibel-Captiva Rotary Club will host its Charity Cup on Feb. 13 at the Sanibel Island Golf Club. It will be a four-person scramble format, playing best ball. Three sets of “T” boxes will be used.

The purpose of the tournament is to raise funds so the Rotary Club can continue to support the organizations on and off the islands that it has helped in the past and to have a day of fun.

There will be prizes awarded for the lowest scoring team for the champions, seniors, ladies and mixed men’s and women’s teams. Skill prizes will be awarded for the ball closest-to-the-pin, longest drive and most accurate drive. There will also be a “hole-in-one” tournament, with a Yamaha golf cart as a prize.

Mulligans will be available for purchase during the tourney.

In addition, there will be a helicopter ball drop taking place, with minimum prizes of $500, $250 and $100 for the three balls nearest the pin. Those may be larger depending on the number of balls sold.

Registration forms are available at www.SanibelRotary.org; from any Rotarian; at Congress Jewelers, at 2075 Periwinkle Way, Suite 35, Sanibel; or by contacting Rotarian Bill Rahe at 239-395-2147.
