F.I.S.H. extends thank you for programming support
The outpouring of support from the community rose to the occasion for F.I.S.H. of Sanibel-Captiva’s holiday programs. F.I.S.H. provided meals for over 1,200 neighbors for the Thanksgiving and Christmas combined and over 250 gifts for children and families. Food Program Director Maria Espinoza explained that from additional donations to the food pantry and toy drive, to Adopt a Family and Food Basket gifts and contributions, the community came to the rescue. F.I.S.H. reported higher than average assistance requests. Program partners were: Ashton Kirchner Group of Keller Williams Realty, Bailey’s General Store, Bat Yam Temple of the Islands, Chase Bank, Friends Who Care, Saint Michael & All Angels Episcopal Church, Sanibel & Captiva Islands Association of Realtors, Sanibel Congregational United Church of Christ, Sanibel Police Department, The Great White Grill, The Rauschenberg Foundation and Toys Ahoy, plus community members and F.I.S.H. volunteers.
