Public hearing set for adoption of Long Range Transportation Plan
The Lee County Metropolitan Planning Organization will hold a public hearing for the adoption of the 2045 Long Range Transportation Plan on Dec. 18 at 9 a.m. at the Lee County Administration East Facility.
The 2045 Transportation Plan Adoption Summary Report and further information on the LRTP can be found at https://leempo.com/wp-content/uploads/M08a.2045-LRTP-Adoption-Summary-Report.pdf. The plan identifies the cost feasible transportation projects for roads, transit and bicycle/pedestrian improvements through the year 2045.
The MPO Board will also hold a public hearing to consider an amendment to the FY 2020/2021 through FY 2024/2025 Transportation Improvement Program to add $200,000 in operating assistance for LeeTran. The program includes the federal and state funded transportation projects that are programmed in Lee County over the next five years.

Written comments received by the end of the business day on Dec. 17 will be presented to the MPO board members on Dec. 18. Public comments may also be made during the MPO board meeting.
