Hope PACE serves community seniors with SendaRide

By HOPE PACE - | Dec 9, 2020

Hope PACE, the Program of All-Inclusive Care for the Elderly, has expanded participants’ options for safe convenient rides to physician’s appointments, essential errands and Hope PACE Care Centers through a new partnership with SendaRide, a concierge non-emergency medical transportation service.

SendaRide’s door-to-door transportation services are paired with state-of-the-art technology that records all rides. PACE participants’ caregivers can stay in contact with the drivers before and during the ride through the SendaRide app.

“Reliable transportation is an essential element of Hope PACE’s personalized approach that helps aging adults at risk for nursing home placement to stay healthy, live independently in the community and avoid unnecessary hospitalizations for as long as possible,” Hope Healthcare President Samira K. Beckwith said. “SendaRide gives PACE participants and their caregivers peace of mind knowing they will arrive at their destination safely and on time.”

SendaRide was developed specifically for the health care industry and is focused on maintaining the highest level of service, safety, security and efficiency for riders, business partners and families. Its user-friendly HIPAA-compliant technology provides constant GPS monitoring and quality assurance.

Hope PACE is a comprehensive, coordinated health care program designed to meet the social, emotional and practical challenges of older adults. It helps seniors live safely in the place they call home. To be eligible, participants must live in Charlotte, Collier or Lee and be age 55 or older.
