Over $2,600 collected to provide holiday meals
The 13th Annual Turkey Drop and Roll held on Nov. 20 resulted in a new record, according to organizers Bob Fodor, Laurie Jensen and Fred. A total of $2,650 in donations were collected, which will purchase 265 20-pound turkeys or approximately 5,300 pounds of turkey. Since the start of the annual drive, a total of 1,268 turkeys have been donated or approximately 21,000 pounds. The organizers thanked everyone who took the time to donate — only cash and check donations were accepted this year to keep it safe — which will help the Salvation Army provide holiday meals.
