County reports on schedules for the holiday

Most Lee County administrative operations will be closed on Nov. 26-27 in observance of the Thanksgiving holiday. Other schedules will be adjusted.
SOLID WASTE
All county facilities will closed on Nov. 26 and no garbage, yard waste or recycling will be collected. Collections will be delayed by one day for the remainder of the week. On Nov. 27, Thursday collections will be picked up. The Waste-to-Energy Facility in Buckingham will be open from 6:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. to accept waste. All other Solid Waste facilities will be closed. On Nov. 28, Friday collections will be picked up. The Buckingham facility will be open from 6:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. to accept waste. All other Solid Waste facilities will be closed.
PARKS & RECREATION
Beaches, boat ramps, parks and preserves will be open on Nov. 26-27 and through the holiday weekend. Administration offices, pools and recreation centers will be closed on Nov. 26-27. Recreation centers and pools will resume normal operating hours on Nov. 28. Administration offices will resume normal operating hours on Nov. 30.
LIBRARIES
All libraries will be closed on Nov. 26-27. The online library is available at www.leegov.com/library. Libraries will open with current limited hours on Nov. 28.
DOMESTIC ANIMAL SERVICES
The shelter, at 5600 Banner Drive, Fort Myers, will be closed on Nov. 26-27. The Lost & Found Pet Center will reopen for regular hours on Nov. 28 at 8 a.m. The adoption center will open at 10:30 a.m.
LEETRAN
LeeTran will not run bus, trolley or passport services on Nov. 26. Service resume on Nov. 27.
UTILITIES
The Customer Service Lobby, at 7391 College Parkway, Fort Myers, remains closed to the public. The drive-thru window will be closed on Nov. 26-27 and will reopen on Nov. 30. A drop-box is on-site at the front door and another accessible via the drive-thru for payments by check. A drop-box is also available at the Lee County Community Development/Public Works Center, at 1500 Monroe St., Fort Myers. The Call Center will be closed on Nov. 26-27 and will reopen on Nov. 30.
