SCUCC, Bat Yam to hold monthly food donation drive

By Staff | Nov 4, 2020

The Sanibel Congregational United Church of Christ and Bat Yam Temple of the Islands will host a “No-Contact Drop-Off Food Drive” on Nov. 5 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at 2050 Periwinkle Way, Sanibel.

The monthly event serves as a way to help members of the community while staying safe.

As the pandemic continues, the congregations will continue the monthly events.

The public is asked to put their food donations in the truck or rear of their vehicle. Upon arrival at the church, gloved and masked volunteers will unload the items. There is no need to exit the vehicle.

The donations will split between F.I.S.H. of Sanibel-Captiva and the Gladiolus Food Pantry.
