McHale named Board Leader of the Year at ENPYs
F.I.S.H. of Sanibel-Captiva announced that Board Member Nicole McHale is the recipient of the 4th Annual ENPYs Board Leader of the Year award. Facilitated by the Cape Coral Community Foundation, the ENPY awards are designed to recognize outstanding nonprofits doing the work in the community.
The Board Leader of the Year award honors an outstanding nonprofit board member who has served on a board for a minimum of one full year and gives unconditionally to the nonprofit their time, talent and treasure. The other finalists were Eileen Webster for Family Initiative and Dan Stuckey for ARCHway.
“I’m honored to receive the distinguished Board Leader of the Year award from the Cape Coral Foundation’s annual recognition celebration,” McHale, the past board chair for F.I.S.H., said. “I am privileged to be part of F.I.S.H.’s dedicated team who work hard to ensure neighbors help neighbors. Our community is exceptional and proven with many dedicated individuals. Thank you all for your goodness.”
McHale was appointed to board in 2013 to complete an unfinished term, was vice chair for part of 2017 and was chair from 2017-2019. She remains on the board as past board chair. She furthered the reach and network of F.I.S.H. through her commitment to raising awareness of the organization. McHale leads by example as a board member who is always ready and eager to share information about F.I.S.H. when out in the community, as well as an active volunteer.
“We are very proud Nicole has been awarded this great honor,” President Maggi Feiner said. “Her dedication and service to F.I.SH. and our community is exceptional and exemplifies service over self.”
