TCH to host Fall Festival with some changes
This year, the Community House will host the annual Fall Festival — with a twist.
On Oct. 30, trick-o-treaters and their pets are invited to drive around the facility from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m., 5 to 6 p.m. and 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. There will be three different candy collection stations. A bag of candy will be distributed to them by contact-less delivery at each stop by a person wearing a mask and gloves.
A scavenger hunt will also be included. Leading up to the event, trick-o-treaters are invited to take photos with their phone or other device of various items, such as 122 Periwinkle Way, a jar of seagrape honey or an ibis. Prizes will be awarded for photographing eight or more on the list. For the complete list of items, visit www.sanibelcommunityhouse.net.
A costume contest will take place, with the categories to include family, ages 16 and under, group themes, pet, and individual. Those uncomfortable coming in person, may submit their photos. Voting will be open until Nov. 2.
Available online starting today, Oct. 21, Resident Chef Jarred will share how to carve a pumpkin and make a delicious fall cocktail virtually. To check it out, visit online at sanibelcommunityhouse.net.
The Community House thanked this year’s sponsors of the Fall Festival: Sandy and Judy Montclare, Friends Who Care, and Sanibel Captiva Community Bank.
