Lowden joins Bank of the Islands
Bank of the Islands announced that David B. Lowden has joined the staff in the newly-created management position of vice president of private client relations.
With more than a quarter-century of banking experience, he will administer personalized full-service banking to high net worth families and individuals. Lowden will coordinate a client’s entire credit process, on an individual basis, from the initial application through the closing of the loan transaction.
A graduate of the University of Colorado, he is a longtime resident of Lee County. Lowden began serving the banking needs of island families and businesses in 1994. He has an active history of community engagement, which includes receiving the Florida’s Finest — Certificate of Appreciation from former Gov. Lawton Chiles.
Grotrian joins San Cap Trust team
The Sanibel Captiva Trust Company announced the addition of Darrin Grotrian as assistant vice president of Client Services and Trust Operations to the local Sanibel team.
He is responsible for the daily activity applied to clients’ trust accounts, including cash management and account balancing, reporting, providing a client’s team of external professional advisors with necessary documentation, and any other account management tasks on a client’s behalf.
Grotrian was previously with Bank of the Islands since 2013. He most recently served as assistant manager of the bank, while also executing his responsibilities as a lender.
Grotrian obtained his Bachelor of Science in business management from Manchester College in Indiana. After relocating to Sanibel, he became involved with area nonprofits, including serving on the board of directors and as co-treasurer for the Sanibel Community Association. Grotrian is a current member of the Sanibel-Captiva Rotary Club and serves as a board member for the Clinic for the Rehabilitation of Wildlife.
