Virtual reception planned for Alliance for the Arts exhibit

By Staff | Sep 9, 2020

The Alliance for the Arts in Fort Myers will host a virtual opening reception with the artists of the “Plays Well With Others” exhibition on Sept. 11 from 6 to 7 p.m.

Guests will be able to hear statements from the artists on their work and engage with questions and feedback. The outline of the event will include a guided tour of the exhibit with curator Jessica Todd and gallery director Ehren Gerhard, followed by conversations over specific work and installations.

The reception is free to attend, but an RSVP is required.

A suggested donation supports the future of the arts in Southwest Florida.

“Plays Well with Others” is an exhibition of local and national artists who create work that engages with play and toys in interactive, mischievous and subversive ways. Each expertly articulates broad concepts centered around play using media ranging from animation to inflatable sculpture to beading.
