Lee County Fair Housing poster contest announced

Entries are being accepted for the inaugural Lee County Fair Housing Poster Contest through Sept. 30.

The contest is open to Lee County students in grades 3 through 5.

Lee County Human & Veteran Services is asking students to show what it means to be a good neighbor and create posters with themes such as supporting one another, increasing diversity and being respectful.

Posters should represent what fair housing means in the Lee County community and must:

• Contain wording that addresses the theme

• Measure 11 inches by 17 inches, designed horizontally

• Be on poster paper, poster board or similar material

• Include name, grade, school and telephone number of a guardian

Materials used should be crayons, colored pencils, magic markers, paint, pastels or chalk. Please do not use glitter or glue.

Posters may be submitted electronically via a photo to CDennehy@leegov.com or they are be mailed or dropped off at the Lee County Human and Veteran Services, at 2440 Thompson Street, Fort Myers.

The contest is sponsored by Lee County Human and Veteran Services.
