Caloosahatchee Mindfulness launches outreach program
Caloosahatchee Mindfulness is launching a new outreach program “Mindfulness Moment.”
The social media community outreach will provide meaningful and supportive, mindful living programs for the community three days a week: Mindfulness Monday, Wisdom Wednesday and Self-Care Saturday. Residents can join via Caloosahatchee Mindfulness’s Facebook and Instagram.
Beginning Sept. 5, facilitators will offer insights each Monday, Wednesday and Saturday.
The Mindfulness Monday facilitator Jan has applied years of yoga practice, influenced by Buddhist precepts of mindfulness and compassion, to her private life and her work as a psychotherapist. The second facilitator is Valarie Olsen, who will give insight into Wisdom on Wednesdays with the use of ancient Eastern and Western traditions, along with her practices as a licensed mental health counselor, certified yoga teacher and meditation. The third facilitator is Christine Giles, an exercise physiologist at Lee Health Cardiac Rehab who draws from her love and knowledge of nutrition and mindfulness.
