Meals available for Lee Home Connect Students

Starting on Sept. 1, the School District of Lee County began making the Grab & Go Breakfast and Lunch meals available to students who are using the Lee Home Connect Instructional Model.

Five breakfasts and five lunches can be picked up once a week on either a Tuesday or Thursday morning. Students will only be allowed to pick up meals on one of those days — not both.

The Sanibel School will distribute the meals from 9 to 9:45 a.m.

Families will drive through the school’s distribution line to pick each week’s meals. Schools will pass out a form for parents to fill out that must be visible through their front windshield. Parents will need to add their student’s last name, student’s ID number and the school they are enrolled in to be compared with the roster of Lee Home Connect students.

Breakfast and lunch are free at all 80 traditional Lee County public schools and four special centers through the Food and Nutrition Services Department Community Eligibility Program. Parents do not need to apply and “free and reduced” meal applications will not need to be completed or processed.
