IWA appoints Rice to board of directors
The Island Water Association Inc. recently announced the appointment of Don Rice as the newest member of the board of directors.
He will complete the term of Kenneth Kouril, who announced his resignation from the board.
Rice served as a senior vice president of the Ingersoll-Rand Company before his retirement in 2004. His career included assignments in human resources, leadership of the Asia-Pacific and Latin America operations, global business services and corporate communications and public affairs.
Rice currently serves as a trustee and vice president of the Sanibel-Captiva Conservation Foundation, co-chair of the BIG ARTS Board of Directors and is a member of Kiwanis. He and his wife have lived on Sanibel since 2001.
San Cap Community Bank hires DeLeon, Muchler
Kerry DeLeon recently joined Sanibel Captiva Community Bank as a customer service representative and teller at the Gateway Branch, while Carrie Muchler joined as a loan coordinator in the bank’s residential lending division at the Bridge Branch.
DeLeon is responsible for assisting customers with personal and business banking transactions. Prior to joining the bank, she was employed by a local community bank and credit union as a customer service representative. DeLeon also has previous experience in office administration and the hospitality industry.
Muchler is responsible for supporting residential loan officers in assisting customers with residential loans, including conventional and construction loans. She has over 20 years of experience in various industries, including finance, loss mitigation, accounting and sales. A Southwest Florida resident since 1989, Muchler has been an active Optimist Club of Fort Myers volunteer for nearly three decades.
