The Lee County Visitor & Convention Bureau, iHeartMedia and Cat Country 107.1 will once again present “Songs from the Sofa” on Aug. 20 at 8 p.m., hosted by DJ Mike Tyler from Cat Count.

Available via the Island Hopper Songwriter Fest Instagram page, the fourth virtual concert will feature live music, interviews and stories behind the songs with BMI singer-songwriter Dave Pahanish.

From Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Pahanish moved to Nashville in 2007 and has written songs for Toby Keith, Jimmy Wayne, Tim McGraw, Keith Urban and others. He has had three No. 1 singles on the billboard country charts, including Urban’s “Without You,” Keith’s “American Ride” and Wayne’s “Do You Believe Me Now.” As a performing songwriter, Pahanish has toured extensively.

Pahanish is scheduled to perform next year at the annual Island Hopper Songwriter Fest, which will take place Sept. 17-22 on Captiva, in historic downtown Fort Myers and on Fort Myers Beach.

This year’s Island Hopper Songwriter Fest has been postponed in light of COVID-19. The 10-day festival draws some of country music’s greatest singer-songwriters from Nashville and nationwide. Over 80 artists perform more than 100 shows, most of which are free and in small intimate venues.
