Author Kirk W. Johnson will join the J.N. “Ding” Darling National Wildlife Refuge’s 2021 Lecture Series for a March 19 presentation. His book, “Feather Thief: Beauty, Obsession, and the Natural History Heist of the Century,” crosses the line between non-fiction and true-crime. Due to restrictions caused by COVID-19, the lecture series will run on five select days from Jan. 29 through March 19 at The Community House on Sanibel. The lectures will take place at 10 a.m.; seating is on a first-come basis. The “Ding” Darling Wildlife Society-Friends of the Refuge is seeking sponsors for the Johnson lecture and four others. For more information, contact April Boehnen at 239-472-1100 ext. 4 or Birgie Miller at 239-472-1100 ext. 232.
