BIG ARTS call to artists
BIG ARTS invites artists to submit their work for its first-ever juried exhibition in the new Dunham Family Gallery. Entitled “Create, Inspire, Connect,” the show mirrors BIG ARTS 2021 season theme to celebrate the vital role the arts play in reflecting shared humanity and the healing power of community and creativity.
Scheduled for October, the juried show is an open-theme exhibition for artists working in painting, photography, drawing, sculpture, fiber, printmaking, et cetera. The work will be judged according to presentation, artistic merit, originality and its interpretation of the theme of the season and exhibit.
Works submitted will be juried and awarded by the members of BIG ARTS Visual Arts Committee, including Diane Olsson, Deborah Butler, Bunny Ospa, Bea Pappas, Kathy Taylor, Annie Wainwright, Peter Zell, and BIG ARTS Programs and Gallery Manager Lauren Huff.
Artwork can be submitted digitally by Sept. 6 at www.bigarts.org. The fee to submit is $25 for members, $30 for non-members and $15 for students. All artists will be notified by email by Sept. 11.
