TCH hosts annual Smoke on the Island
Marking its first “big” event since mid-March hosted by the Sanibel Community Association, the Community House held its annual Smoke on the Island Hog Roast on July 3. The indoor guest number was limited to 50 people in accordance with city guidelines. SCA Board of Directors President Roger Grogman opened the front door for each group wearing their masks, and their temperatures were taken by Director of Marketing and Events Sarah Jacobson. Guests were then shown to their assigned table by volunteer Linda Warschauer. While waiting to be called to the buffet line, guests enjoyed individual portions of potato and tomato salad at their tables. Executive Director Teresa Riska-Hall delivered the iced tea and lemonade. The Community House is planning for another Community Social in August. In addition, chutneys and pickles made by Resident Chef Jarred Harris are available as part of the garden fundraiser.
