Pace Center for Girls to host annual Love That Dress!

By Staff | Jul 15, 2020

The Pace Center for Girls, Lee County will host its Love That Dress! event on Sept. 30 starting at 6 p.m. at the Embassy Suites by Hilton, at 10450 Corkscrew Commons Drive, Estero.

The 12th annual event features shopping, music, silent auctions and cocktails, with proceeds benefiting Pace’s programs and services. Social distancing guidelines and safety protocols will be in place.

Ticket sales will open on Aug. 1; advance registration is required.

Admission is $30 in advance. A limited number of VIP passes are also available for $150, which offer early access to the shopping and exclusive access to the VIP Suite Level, which will feature private dressing areas, express check-out and complimentary beverages, hors d’oeuvres and desserts.

To help build an inventory of apparel for the event, Pace invites Southwest Floridians to clean out their closets for a cause with the #MakeSpaceForPace virtual dress collection. Donations of new or gently-loved dresses, shoes, handbags and accessories will be sold at deeply discounted prices to attendees.

To contribute to the collection, drop off donations between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. Monday through Friday at the Pace Center for Girls, Lee County, at 3800 Evans Ave., Fort Myers. A donation bin is located behind the Pace building, providing a completely “contact-free” donation experience.

The Pace Center for Girls provides academic programs and counseling services to girls and young women ages 11 to 18 who are working to overcome risk factors such as poverty, substance abuse, domestic violence, foster home placement, neglect, grief, incarceration of a family member, mental health and physical, emotional or sexual abuse.
