Paddling Tip of the Week

By Staff | Jul 14, 2020

The rays from the sun are at their harshest in the middle of the day, so it is a good idea to avoid or minimize time on the water between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. During these hours, 60 percent of the sunburn rays (UVB) are produced thus increasing the risk of getting too much sun. The best times to paddle are early mornings and at sunset. The weekly paddling tip is provided by the Ocean Tribe Paddling Club, which is affiliated with the Sanibel Sea School.
