In 2014, the Pfeifer Realty Group partnered with Emmy Award-winning filmmaker David E. Carter to produce a series of Sanibel documentaries that preserved the island’s history and generated financial support for local non-profits. Recently, Pfeifer Realty provided the films on DVD to the Ervin family, of Virginia. In lieu of payment, it suggested that the family make a donation to a non-profit, and the family chose the Clinic for the Rehabilitation of Wildlife. The Ervins reported that the films brought back “lots of memories of Sanibel when we first started going there in 1976,” noting that “our parents later bought a lot and built a house on West Gulf Drive near the West Wind Inn, which we enjoyed for 16 years.” CROW Executive Director Alison Hussey expressed appreciation for the donation and thanked the Pfeifer Realty Group and Carter, adding that “the wildlife hospital continues caring for our patients during this time, even more now than this time last year.” For more information about the series, visit https://bit.ly/Sanibel_Documentary_Series.
