Suspects wanted in connection to teen’s death arrested by CCPD
The final two suspects wanted by the Cape Coral Police Department in connection to the April death of Kaleigh Marie Mousseau have been arrested, officials announced this week.
CCPD arrested three suspects in late May, detailing that two other remained at large. On Sunday and Monday respectively, CCPD arrested Thomas Bartley, 46, and Denise Maggi, 40.
Both Bartley and Maggi are being charged with tampering with physical evidence (3rd degree felony), mishandling human remains (1st degree misdemeanor) and failure to report a death (1st degree misdemeanor).
The two suspects, along with John Kaiser, Carl Crowe and Amy Sigears, are all allegedly connected to the death of Mousseau, 19, whose body was located on the side of the road on Gator Circle, according to CCPD.
The Medical Examiner’s Office determined that Mousseau’s death was due to acute combined drug toxicity and the manner of death was determined to be an accident.
The charges are related to actions allegedly taken in the wake of her death.
Kaiser, Crowe and Sigears also received the same three charges as Bartley and Maggi
