Bailey’s General Store will host a free wine tasting via Zoom, “Wine Wednesday Virtual Tasting,” on June 3 with guest host Mike McCahill, market development manager with E. & J. Gallo Winery.

“We all miss traveling, and when you can taste and learn about the best wine from a specific location, there’s a feeling that you are transported if only for an hour,” Calli Johnson, Bailey’s wine steward, said. “Hosting events is something we enjoy and plan to continue even with the new safety challenges we face. I look forward to seeing our island wine lovers virtually.”

Taking place at 5 p.m., the wines to be savored will be from Locations by Dave Phinney, Wine Enthusiast’s 2019 Winemaker of the Year. The two wines will be CA – a California red blend – and NZ – a New Zealand white blend.

“I am extremely excited to share my knowledge of some phenomenal wines through this interactive tasting and anticipate that we are all going to want more than one bottle,” McCahill said.

Bailey’s is offering three tasting packages to make the event more fun that include NZ and CA wines, as well as a wine tote and tasting sheets. Cost for the tasting packages range from $29.99 to $69.99.
