Scotch bonnet found on Sanibel

By Staff | May 5, 2020

Julie Weaver, of Sanibel, found a 3-inch Scotch bonnet during an afternoon walk on April 21 on a nearly-deserted Bowman’s Beach on Sanibel. She reported that the surf was pretty active at the time, and the shell was literally all by itself on the wet sand – perhaps practicing social distancing, too! Weaver added that finding the Scotch bonnet was a reminder that even in times like these, there are wonderful things for people to discover and to be appreciative of.
