On March 21, the city of Sanibel reported that all island accommodations are ordered to immediately take the following steps to stop the spread of COVID-19:

– Remove all beach furniture including beach chairs and lounges from the beach

– Remove 75 percent of all pool deck chairs and lounges from pool decks

– Strictly adhere to all CDC and Florida Department of Health guidance to stop the spread of COVID-19, including but not limited to social distancing

– Strictly adhere to all components of the governor’s executive order related to restaurants and alcohol sales
