Cape Council calls special meeting for Monday
The city of Cape Coral will make a third try at holding a special meeting Monday after two previous attempts failed due to a lack of quorum.
The Cape Coral City Council now plans to hold Special Meeting of the City Council on Monday, March 23, at 4:25 p.m. in Council Chambers at City Hall, 1015 Cultural Park Boulevard.
The following items will appear on the meeting agenda:
* Remote participation discussion and vote
* Clarifying rules to cancel City Council meetings
* How will Council Conduct Business during the coronavirus situation
* Cancellation of Committee of the Whole, or workshop meeting, scheduled for 4:30 p.m. March 23.
Meetings are broadcast on Cape TV (Comcast Channel 98 and CenturyLink Prism Channel 94) and streamed online at www.cape-tv.com. Out of an abundance of caution, watching meetings from home is encouraged for anyone not feeling well or those with compromised immune systems. Rather than attend in-person, the public can participate virtually by submitting an “ecomment” via the “Agendas & Minutes” quick link on the City’s website.
