UPDATE: San-Cap Republican Caucus meeting canceled
In light of the national coronavirus situation, the Sanibel-Captiva Republican Caucus has canceled its March 21 meeting.

The Sanibel-Captiva Republican Caucus will hold its monthly meeting on March 21 at 10 a.m. at the Sanibel Public Library, at 770 Dunlop Road, Sanibel.
State Rep. Ray Rodrigues, District 76, who is termed out and running for the state’s District 27 Senate seat, and Lee County Sheriff Carmine Marceno, who is running for sheriff, are the guest speakers.
Rodrigues received a Master of Public Administration in 2017 from Florida Gulf Coast University, where he serves as budget manager for the College of Arts and Sciences. He served in the Legislature from 2012-2020 and was vice chair of the Lee County Republican Party. Currently, Rodrigues is chair of the Health and Human Services Committee and is a member of the Appropriations Committee.
A graduate of the FBI National Academy, Marceno served 10 years at the Collier County Sheriff’s Office and five years at the LCSO; he was appointed as sheriff in 2018. Marceno has decades of law enforcement experience, beginning in New York, before moving to Florida in 1999. He has received multiple awards, including Collier County’s Distinguished Public Service Award.
