Laura Snyders, of Larchwood, Iowa, found a junonia on Feb. 29 at sunrise between the Sanibel Inn on East Gulf Drive and the Sanibel Lighthouse on Sanibel. She reported that it was her family’s second time – but definitely not their last time – visiting the islands. Snyders added that her family loves the islands and was thrilled to be lucky enough to find the shell!
