FutureMakers Success Series scheduled

The Foundation for Lee County Public Schools and the FutureMakers Coalition will host four FutureMakers Success Series Career Panels, introducing students to college and career opportunities in Southwest Florida.

It is an opportunity to hear from different industry experts in the fields of health care, education, construction and management, business management and hospitality.

The events are open to middle and high school students and their families in Lee County.

Students and families will have the opportunity to visit multiple college and career information tables provided by sponsors, including the foundation, Florida Gulf Coast University, Florida SouthWestern College, Cape Coral and Fort Myers Technical Colleges, Southwest Florida Community Foundation, School District of Lee County and more.

During the informational series, attendees will hear from local professionals, as well as gain more knowledge as to what is required to pursue different career paths. Following each career panel, there will be a question-and-answer session with the speakers.

The remaining panel dates and locations are:

– March 9 from 6 to 8 p.m. at South Fort Myers High School in Fort Myers

– April 6 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Lehigh Senior High School in Lehigh Acres

– May 5 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Dunbar High School in Fort Myers
