PHOTO PROVIDED Fellow Sanibel and Captiva Islands Chamber of Commerce members recognized the Sanibel Skin Spa's recent expansion at a ribbon cutting on Feb. 19.

On Feb. 19, the Sanibel and Captiva Islands Chamber of Commerce celebrated member Sanibel Skin Spa’s expansion of space and services with a ribbon cutting at the spa, at 975 Rabbit Road, Sanibel.

Holly and Joel Torres moved their Westhampton Day Spa operation from New York State to Sanibel in 2015. In October, they expanded the spa by 1,600 feet to include the island’s first salt cave.

“Himalayan Salt Caves are a proven natural therapeutic breathing treatment that helps with a wide range of respiratory and emotional conditions and helps reduce inflammation and chronic pain,” Holly Torres said.

The spa offers a full line of treatments and services, including couples retreats, massage, facials, manicures and pedicures. Salt cave treatments are available as part of a package or a la carte.

“We want to congratulate Sanibel Skin Spa on its successful operation and exciting new development,” chamber President John Lai said.
