Club to host morning paddle
The Ocean Tribe Paddling Club hosts excursions for paddling enthusiasts to enjoy a group paddle, share tips and ideas, and meet new friends to paddle with.
The next one will be held on Feb. 22 from 9:30 to 11 a.m.
It will be a morning paddling excursion through the canals of the east end of the island. Glide through the winding canals that are rich in flora and fauna. Start from the Sanibel Boat Ramp and paddle on the San Carlos Bay to the canals.
Those interested in taking part can bring their own paddling craft or reserve one of the limited number of loaner vessels in advance. To reserve a vessel, email email@example.com.
The first event is free, then it is requested that a club membership be purchased.
Meet at 9:15 a.m. at the Sanibel Boat Ramp, at 888 Sextant Drive, Sanibel.
Any weather related updates or schedule changes will be posted on the Ocean Tribe Outfitters Facebook page at least one hour prior to the event. The inclement weather location will be Bowman’s Beach.
