Sanibel FlyFishers to hold annual meeting
The Sanibel FlyFishers will hold its annual business meeting on Feb. 6 at 6 p.m. at the Sanibel Public Library, at 770 Dunlop Road, Sanibel, with the doors opening at 5:30 p.m.
The featured speaker will be Kali Spurgin, Southwest Regional biologist with the Florida Fish and Wildlife Commission. She will discuss the current stock assessments and the thinking of FWC managers regarding regulations for trout, redfish and snook. Spurgin graduated with a Bachelor of Science in biology and an Honor’s Certificate in marine biology from Florida State University.
Pizza and soft drinks will be available for a donation.
Visitors are welcome.

– Feb. 20: Monthly club luncheon at 1 p.m. at The Lighthouse Restaurant in Fort Myers
– Feb. 25: Fly Fishing Film Tour at 5:30 p.m. at The Community House on Sanibel to benefit FGCU’s Water School Scholarship Fund and Captains For Clean Water
