Program on relationship between Edison, the Seminole

Fifth-generation Floridian Woody Hanson will speak about the relationship between the Seminole, Thomas Edison and Fort Myers at Edison and Ford Winter Estates on Jan. 28 at 6:30 p.m.

Hanson is a descendant of Fort Myers’ first permanent settlers and W. Stanley Hanson, who was an expert with close Seminole alliances. He is currently a postgraduate student, studying American history at Trinity College in Dublin, Ireland.
