Southwest Florida Symphony to perform at Shell Point

PHOTO PROVIDED The Southwest Florida Symphony will perform “Stradi-Various” on Jan. 23 at 7 p.m.

Shell Point Retirement Community will continue the Southwest Florida Symphony installation of its Fine and Performing Arts Series with a performance on Jan. 23 at 7 p.m. in The Village Church at The Island at Shell Point.

Maestro Nir Kabaretti will conduct the symphony’s “Stradi-Various,” along with violinist and guest artist Gilles Apap. The performance will feature a repertoire that extends far beyond classical horizons with country, bluegrass, Irish folk tunes, Gypsy-Roma melodies and more.

In addition to Apap, the concert will feature the 2018 Jillian Prescott Scholarship Competition winner, violinist Caroline Sikuta, in Bach’s “Concerto for Two Violins.”
