Bingo has been added to the list of entertainment this year for the 30th annual St. Andrew Catholic School 2020 Festival.

The festival will take place from 6 to 10 p.m., Thursday, Jan. 16; 6 to 11 p.m., Friday, Jan. 17; noon to 11 p.m., Saturday, Jan. 18; and from noon to 10 p.m., Sunday, Jan. 19, at St. Andrew Catholic School, 2628 Del Prado Blvd., Cape Coral.

The festival will kick off with the National Anthem sung by a student.

“I believe there is a different student singing each day,” festival chair Michelle Trunkett said.

Admission is free, but ticket prices vary depending on food, rides, games and raffles.

Trunkett said there are $30 all-day ride bracelets available on Saturday for first responders and veterans.

There are also four-day ride bracelets for $60, which must be purchased by 5 p.m. Thursday. At the door, the four-day bracelets increases to $80. Bracelets can be purchased at www.standrewfestival.com.

New this year, Trunkett said, is Designer Bag Bingo at 6 p.m. Saturday and Cash Bingo from 1-3 p.m. Sunday.

Trunkett said they added bingo because they wanted to have more entertainment opportunities available for everyone.

In addition to festival rides, there will be stage entertainment; a bake sale, complete with a cake walk; food trucks; silent auction; and a $10,000 cash raffle.

The silent auction will feature more than 200 baskets in the Parish Hall. The bidding will close at 6 p.m. Sunday.

Tickets for the cash raffle are $2 apiece, three for $5 or 10 for $10. The raffle tickets will be sold all weekend with the drawing taking place at 7:40 p.m.

All the money raised during the 2020 Festival will go directly back to the school.

“It’s safe, fun entertainment for the children, for their families and everyone in the community,” she said.

Trunkett said she wanted to provide a helping hand because she had six kids come through St. Andrew Catholic School, with two still attending.

“It’s a fantastic school,” she said.
