Last chance to view art exhibit
Time is running out to stop by and see the “Native Art Exhibit” at the Bailey Homestead house on Sanibel, which is on display through Jan. 9. A cooperative exhibit between the Sanibel-Captiva Conservation Foundation and Sanibel Captiva Art League, it features original works of art interpreting the theme of native flora and fauna. From red mangroves to roseate spoonbills, the exhibit features interpretations of the natural and native beauty of the coastal ecosystems. Admission is free; the artists are donating a portion of all sales to the SCCF. Hours are 9 a.m. to noon Monday through Friday. For more information, call 239-472-1932. The Bailey Homestead is at 1300 Periwinkle Way.
