Club to host ‘New Year, New You’ paddling trip
The Ocean Tribe Paddling Club hosts excursions for paddling enthusiasts to enjoy a group paddle, share tips and ideas, and meet new friends to paddle with.
The next one will be held on Jan. 2 from 10 to 11:30 p.m.
It will be a morning paddling excursion through the mangrove canals around Bowman’s Beach. Start the new year by enjoying the tranquil waters, which is home to an abundance of wildlife including manatees, wading birds, ospreys and mullet. It will be an excellent paddling opportunity for beginners and those wanting to try something new this year.
Those interested in taking part can bring their own paddling craft or reserve one of the limited number of loaner vessels in advance. To reserve a vessel, email firstname.lastname@example.org.
The first event is free, then it is requested that a club membership be purchased.
Meet at 9:45 a.m. at Bowman’s Beach, at 1700 Bowman’s Beach Road, Sanibel.
Any weather related updates or schedule changes will be posted on the Ocean Tribe Outfitters Facebook page at least one hour prior to the event. The inclement weather location will be Bowman’s Beach.
