Paddling Tip of the Week

By Staff | Dec 17, 2019

The canals on the east end of Sanibel are easy to access from the Sanibel boat ramp launch point and are often overlooked as a paddle destination on the island. It is a short paddle to the mouth of the canal at the Sanibel Marina. Watch for boat traffic entering and exiting the canals and be mindful of the current ripping through the narrow channel between the bay and the marina. The weekly paddling tip is provided by the Ocean Tribe Paddling Club, which is affiliated with the Sanibel Sea School. For more information, visit oceantribepaddlers.org.
