Sanibel Fire and Rescue District Lt. John DiMaria and Firefighters Adam Felix and Rob Wilkins assisted the Sanibel Captiva Lions Club on Nov. 22 with unloading 206 Fraser firs for the club’s annual Christmas tree sales. It expressed its heartfelt appreciation for their assistance and to Fire Chief Matt Scott for making them available. Located next to the Island Cinema in the Bailey’s Shopping Center, the “tree lot” is open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Wednesday through Sunday, and the trees will remain on sale through Dec. 22 or until they are sold out. For more information, visit sanibelcaptivalions.org. The Bailey’s Shopping Center is at 2477 Periwinkle Way, Sanibel.
