Let’s Go

By Staff | Dec 10, 2019

Organized by the Sanibel Community Association, a monthly Community Social will take place on Dec. 17 from 6 to 8 p.m. at The Community House, at 2173 Periwinkle Way, Sanibel.

The theme for the dinner is “Curry Night.”

Resident Chef Jarred Harris prepares the meal, so attendees can simply show up and enjoy.

The menu will feature: coconut and butternut squash bisque, pumpkin peanut and sweet potato soup, garlic Naan bread, poppadums and homemade chutneys, onion bhaji, and crispy falafels for soups and starters; and garden vegetable curry, chicken tikka masala, spicy Thai beef curry, basmati rice and vegetable pilau rice for the main dishes.

For a $5 donation, the desserts will include banana fritters and an ice cream sundae bar with caramel and chocolate sauces.

Tickets are $15 in advance or $18 at the door, if seats are available.

Alcoholic beverages will be available for purchase.

Advance tickets are available at sanibelcommunityhouse.net or from the venue.
