All the Sanibel Historical Museum and Village’s buildings are displaying a variety of vintage and antique toys that are part of the museum’s collection through the holiday season. The collection is on display in each of the nine buildings. From handmade to store-bought, the display features what children of the 1900s wished for: dolls and dollhouses, trains, boats, cars, books, games and more. Toys are not only reminders of youth, they can convey glimpses into the values, styles and technology of earlier areas. At 950 Dunlop Road, Sanibel, the village is open 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday. Admission is $10 for ages 18 and older; children and members are free. Free guided tours are held at 10:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m., based on docent availability. For more information, call 239-472-4648 or visit www.sanibelmuseum.org.
