America’s Boating Club of Sanibel Captiva “launched” its season with a flurry of activity.

In October, the organization began its Safe Boating Course, which it teaches annually to all sixth-graders at The Sanibel School. The class culminates with students being able to earn a lifetime Florida Boating Card.

In partnership with fellow area clubs, a “Quad Squad” dinner meeting was held at the Cape Coral facility. Sanibel-Captiva collected $1,350 in donations for Shelter Box USA’s Disaster Relief.

On Oct . 27, the club sponsored a booth at the Bailey Fest, where they began registering people for December session of the “America’s Boating Course.” For more information, email education@sanibelcaptivasps.org or visit www.sancapboating.club.

Finally, members reunited back on the island with a gathering at The Jac to catch up on all the summer events, both down south and up north.
