Veteran’s Day Program set
The Sanibel School will host its annual Veteran’s Day Program on Nov. 8 at 8:05 a.m. in the cafetorium.
The fourth- and fifth-grade classes will present a music program titled “We Are America.” The Seahorse Chorale and Elementary Choir also will perform.
Veterans and actively serving military members are welcome to attend.

Fall Bookfair to benefit school
The school has partnered with Barnes and Noble in Fort Myers to hold a bookfair on Nov. 16.
A percentage of purchases made at the store that day using The Sanibel School code will go toward buying new books for the media center.
Principal Chuck Vilardi and some teachers will be present during the day to read stories aloud.
Any purchases made at the store will count toward the total, including books, music, stationary, toys, games and even coffee and treats from the cafe.
Informative session on STEM
The Sanibel School will open its door to the public on Nov. 18 at 8:30 a.m. to showcase its new program focused on STEM – science, technology, engineering and mathematics.
The Sanibel School Fund is providing the program, with support from the community.
The informative session will feature an opportunity to meet STEM teacher Kelly Johnson and her students, witness some of the exciting and unique educational projects that community donations have made possible and hear about the latest school updates from Principal Chuck Vilardi. Also, there will be a chance to sign up for the annual Blue Ribbon Classic Golf Tournament.
